George “Cole” Brainerd Jr., 68, of Elkhart died Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at his residence. George was born August 21, 1952 George and Agnes (Pilarski) Brainerd in South Bend. Left to cherish Cole’s memory are his son, Casey Cole Brainerd; sisters, Cathy Switalski of White Pigeon and Diane Brainerd of Mishawaka; niece, April Switalski; nephews, Jason Switalski and Josh Brainerd; and several great nieces and nephews. Visitation for Cole will take place on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 from 4:30-5:30PM at Hartzler-Gutermuth-Inman Funeral Home where the rosary will be prayed at 5:30.
