Stephen R Herczeg, 92 of 21194 Kern Raod, died at noon Friday at his home following a lengthy illness. He was retired from the Bendix Home Appliance Company. He was born on March 5, 1886 in Petri Kereszturban Zalla Emgye, Hungary and had lived in the South Bend area for 75 years (1903) since comming from Hungary. On November 6, 1926 he married Irene Barsody who survives. Also surviving are two daughters Mrs. Elizabeth Betty Molnar (Joseph) and Mrs Dale McColley, both of South Bend. Five sons Joseph, Stephen, Lewis, Anthony, all of South Bend and James of Lakeville, IN. Services will be at 9:00am Monday in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church with Msgr. John Sabo pastor officiating. Burial will follow at Sacred heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the Zahoran Funeral Home.
