SOUTH BEND - Frances I. "Muncie" Ehardt, 80, of South Bend, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2015. She was born on November 2, 1935, in South Bend, to the late Steven M. and Frances I. (Nagy) Pecsi. On October 23, 1954, she married John P. Ehardt, who survives. Along with her loving husband, she is survived by her children, Susan Kisela of Schereville, IN, Steven Ehardt, and Bruce (April) Ehardt, both of South Bend, and Beth (Jim) Hurst of Granger, IN; four grandchildren, Joshua Kisela, Ethan Ehardt and Jamie and Will Hurst; and by her sister, Rose (Ron) Bobelenyi of South Bend. She worked for Indiana Bell telephone company for 32 years, before retiring in 1995. She was a member of the Mothers of Twins Club. Frances enjoyed antiques, gardening, playing Bridge, baking, reading and she loved black cats. Visitation will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 10, 2015, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend. A memorial service to celebrate her life will follow at 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Pet Refuge, 4626 S. Burnett Dr., South Bend, IN 46614.
