Helen J. Kubsch, 94, residing in Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 2:35am on Thursday, May 28, 2020 in her home. She was born on May 28, 1926 in South Bend, IN, to the late Frank and Marie Grabarz, and she remained a lifelong area resident. Helen was married to John D. Kubsch, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 13, 1980. She was also preceded in death by one son, John D. Kubsch, Jr. on June 1, 2000; one daughter, Karen “Susie” Laros on May 29, 2018; and three grandchildren, Randy Morrow, Susan Zukowski, and Stacey Marie Kubsch. Helen is survived by daughters, Sharon “Sherry” (Ray) Leedy of Goshen, IN, and Pamela (Don) McCarty of Niles, MI; daughter-in-law, Patsy Correll of Mishawaka; sons, Larry J. Kubsch, Sr. of South Bend and David (Sue) Kubsch of Granger, IN; twenty grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren; as well as one brother, Michael (Janet) Grabarz of Indianapolis, IN. Helen was a long-time member of St. Thérèse, Little Flower Catholic Church in South Bend. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Tuesday, June 2, 2020 at St. Thérèse, Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 Ironwood Road, South Bend. Graveside services and burial will follow at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger. Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to mass on Tuesday in the church.
