I believe Teofil/sometime Deofil Witucki must be JOHN (wife Maggie) in 1900 census above. I am the great granddaughter to Walter and Celia (you had me the daughter of George and Virginia)..my grandparents.

If indeed the above Teofil is JOHN, he says he arrive 1872 born in April 1853 in German Poland (no idea which city) He also lists his occupation in 1900 and others as Blacksmith (which my great grandfather Walter/Vladyslaw/Wladyslaw was also) If this Maggie is Maggie Slupacki which I think it is, born May 1858; imigrated 1871; marriage 1875.

Walter F. Witucki was Born Apr 28, 1886 in South Bend and death date as you have it. He attended my wedding in January, 1968 in California (my great grandmother already having passed). Minnie Busczkowski was Celia's mother, but her father (Karol/Karl/Carl) remarried a woman, Aniela Smuski, not well liked by his children.

Walter and Celia had 2 girls, Eleanor (May 17, 1906) and Virginia (born June 28 1908) in SBend; Virginia died Jan. 1981 in So Bend. Virginia married George William Lushbaugh born July 22, 1903; married in 1926; had my father Apr 12, 1927 : his name George Wade Lushbaugh. Virginia and George Wm. divorced in first part of 1931. Virginia remarried in 1948 to Charles "Kenneth" Bock; who ran Michiana or Michigana Plating Co. in So. Bend. George William Lushbaugh remarried to Mary Katherine Woods in July 1931.

My father, George Wade Lushbaugh b. 4/12/1927 South Bend d. 12/26/2006 Hesperia, CA; married Beverly Gean Sellers in Nov 1947 in Chicago, ILL; Beverly Gean Sellers Lushbaugh b. 7/13/27 in Battle Creek, Michigan; d. 6/9/1990; they had me June 20, 1948 in So Bend (of course I'd rather you not mention my birtdate--living relative and all)
I remember GGrampa talking about Jennie (joanna) and Frank, and they all lived on Chapin Street before he and gramma moved to Altgeld St.)...you will see most of these Witucki's had Chapin St in the census!
