SOUTH BEND - John Radzikowski, 87, passed away on Wednesday, February 27, 2008, in his residence. John was born on October 15, 1920, to the late Marion and Josephine (Drziewski) Radzikowski in South Bend. He was preceded in death by his son, James; a daughter, Sharon; a granddaughter, Kari Ann; and by six brothers and five sisters. On February 14, 1942, he married Berth V. (Cholaj) in South Bend, who survives along with their daughter, Bonnie Robakowski; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Tony Rulli of South Bend, Marion and Veronica Bohacz of Bronson, MI, and Betty Wallace of Florida, John Cholaj and Georgianna of South Bend. John served his country as a staff sergeant in the Army during World War II. He worked at RACO for many years until his retirement. He was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, VFW 8748 and FOP 86. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, South Bend, is assisting the family. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, at 11 a.m. in St. Patrick Catholic Church.
