Wakarusa - Wakarusa - Jeannette Samolczyk, 89, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2021 in Miller's Merry Manor. Jeannette was born January 10, 1932 in South Bend to the late Marion and Clementine (Krol) Gorski. On May 10, 1952 in Christ the King Catholic Church Jeannette married the love of her life, Jesse Samolczyk, he preceded her in death on February 12, 2019. Also preceding her in death is her daughter in-law Colleen Samolczyk on August 19th, 2012 and her brother Robert (Sharon) Gorski on Friday, September 24th, 2021. Left to cherish the memory of Jeannette are her children, Michael Samolczyk, Mark (Cindy) Samolczyk, Anne Samolczyk, Jean Samolczyk, Susan (Ken) Wojtanek; grandchildren, David (Julia) Samolczyk, Grace (Nick) Caley, Kathryn Samolczyk , Alec Samolczyk, Matthew Wojtanek; great-grandchildren, Caroline Caley, Lillian Samolczyk and Vivian Caley. Jeannette loved to cook and bake. She always made sure everyone had enough to eat. During retirement the family enjoyed spending their summers at Gravel Lake in Michigan. The family would like to thank the staff at Miller's Merry Manor of Wakarusa for their wonderful care of Mom for the last seven years. Visitation for Jeannette will be 9:45 am to 10:30 am Thursday, September 30, 2021 in St. John Evangelist Catholic Church, 109 W. Monroe St., Goshen, IN. with a Rosary to be prayed at 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
