Mrs. Mary Pajakowski, 430 S. Warren St., the mother of County Clerk Casimir J. Pajakowski, died suddenly at 9:33 a. m. today in her home of a heart failure. She had returned a month ago from St. Joseph Hospital and was convalescing at home. She was born Mary Nowak Dec, 2, 1885, and had lived here all her life. On May 16, 1903. she was married in St.Casimir's Catholic Church to Ignatius Pajakowski, prominent in Democrat circles, who was one of the organizers and first members of the board of trustees of St. Adalbert's Catholic Church and until retirement five years ago operated a meat market and a grocery at 2110 W. Linden Ave. for 25 years. Mr. and Mrs. Pajakwoski on May 8 celebrated their golden wedding jubilee. Surviving besides the county clerk are seven other children, Mrs. Eleanor Jackowiak, Eugene J., former U. S. Marshal; Ollie, Mrs. Clementine Suth. Miss Alice, Mrs. Helen Kush and Mrs. Esther Meers, all of South Bend; 15 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. [Information submitted by Find a Grave contributor Paul #48889809]
