Dec. 15, 1940 - Dec. 29, 2011 SOUTH BEND - Donald R. Wieczorkowski Sr., 71, of South Bend, Indiana passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011, in Memorial Hospital of South Bend. Donald was born December 15, 1940, in South Bend, Indiana to Ted and Molly Wieczorkowski. He was employed with RACO for 44 years. On January 5, 1974, Don married Mary Margaret Farkas who survives. Surviving with his wife Mary are his sons, Kerry (Jodi) Wieczorkowski of South Bend, Indiana and Donald R. Wieczorkowski Jr. of South Bend, Indiana; grandchildren, Hailey and Brynn Marie; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Diane Grzegorek; and brothers, Ted and Kenny Joe Wieczorkowski. Don was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, the Izaak Walton League, and the Union at RACO. He loved fishing, NASCAR, especially Jeff Gordon, the New England Patriots, and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time working in the yard. He spent his downtime relaxing with his puppy Happy. Visitation will be held from 2-8 p.m. Monday, January 2, 2012, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, January 3, 2012, in Christ the King Catholic Church.
