MISHAWAKA - Richard G. Regina, 77, passed away early on Tuesday, August 25, 2015, in Memorial Hospital in South Bend. Richard was born on April 2, 1938, in South Bend, to John and Margaret (Lucas) Regina. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Marjorie Ann Yarbrough; and a brother, Ron Regina. On January 14, 1961, he married Connie Dentino, who preceded him in death on October 4, 2001. On April 12, 2003, he married Sharon Nicodemus. Surviving are his wife, Sharon; his sons, Jeff (Shelley) Regina of Mishawaka, Mark (MaryLou) Regina of Mishawaka and Larry (Shelley) Regina of South Bend; his stepchildren, Erica (Dan) Hunt of Elkhart and Shelly Nicodemus of Lombard, IL; and seven grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsey, Paige, Bradley, Noah, Carter and Ella. Richard was a veteran of the United States Army. He worked for Bearing Headquarters in the Shipping and Receiving Warehouse and retired after 42 years. He was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Mishawaka and attended Osceola Grace Brethren Church. Richard was so proud of all of his boys who all work for the Mishawaka Fire Department. He enjoyed woodworking, especially doing scroll work. He also enjoyed boating, and loved spending time with his family. Richard was an avid Notre Dame fan and an Indianapolis Colts fan. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 27, in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 28, in the funeral home with Rev. Dave Knight and Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
