Bernard Lenczowski, 95, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away at 9:50 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2006, in Fountainview Place, in Mishawaka, Indiana. Bernard was born on December 13, 1910, in South Bend, to Joseph LENCZOWSKI and Maryanna KUMOR. He retired in 1972 from Chrysler Boat Company in Shelby, Ohio. He had also been employed with the Bendix Corporation and Singer Manufacturing. On July 28, 1931, in South Bend, he married Ruth LELLO, who preceded him in death on August 19, 1991. Also preceding him in death were four sisters, Anna Zakrewski, Bernice Malinowski, Alice Marcinkowski and Harriet Jones; and three brothers, Joseph, Frank and John Lenczowski. Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Lenczowski and Joyce Lenczowski, both of South Bend; two sons, Richard Lenczowski of Mint Hill, North Carolina, and Raymond Lenczowski of Port Clinton, Ohio; four grandchildren; two sisters, Josephine Miller of South Bend, and Stella Miller of Orlando, Florida; and two brothers, Steve Lenczowski of South Bend, and Stanley Lenczowski of Mishawaka. Bernard was a member of Christ the King Parish. Funeral arrangements were by Kaniewski Funeral Home, where a parish Rosary was prayed. A Mass of Christian Burial was held in Christ the King Catholic Church. Burial followed in Southlawn Cemetery.
