SOUTH BEND - Stanley W. Durski Jr., 84, passed away Saturday at Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation. Stanley is survived by a daughter, Krystal M. Clark; son, Jeff (Denise) Durski; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Sylvester and Norman Durski. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 8th, in Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Friends may visit with the family 4 till 8 pm. Wednesday in the funeral home, with a Rosary recited at 4 p.m.

SOUTH BEND - Stanley Walter Durski Jr., 84, of South Bend, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Cardinal Nursing & Rehabilitation. Stanley was born April 11, 1927, in South Bend, to the late Stanley and Martha (Paskiet) Durski Sr. On May 13, 1950, in St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Stanley married Mary Theresa (Kuczor), who passed away January 2, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Bowers. Stanley is survived by a daughter, Krystal M. Clark of South Bend; son, Jeff (Denise) Durski of Omaha, NE; six grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Sylvester and Norman Durski, both of South Bend. He was a graduate of South Bend Central High School. Stanley proudly served his country in the Army during WW II. He retired from the St. Joseph County Highway Department as an engineer. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Co-Founder of Roseland VFW #624 where he served as Past Commander, American Legion Post #303, and Clay Civic & Democratic Club in Roseland. Stanley enjoyed gardening, and was always there to help others. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 8th, in Welsheimer Family Funeral Home North, 17033 Cleveland Road. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, with military honors. Friends may visit with the family 4 till 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home, with a Rosary recited at 4:00 p.m. In Stanley's honor, contributions may be made to The Center for Hospice, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to the American Cancer Society , 601 W.
