SOUTH BEND - Antoinette “Toby” Peterson, 94, residing in South Bend, passed away at 8:58 am Wednesday, July 20, 2016, in Memorial Hospital. She was born June 6, 1922, in South Bend, IN, to the late Stanley and Catherine (Kowalewski) Nadolny. She was preceded in death by a son, James R. Peterson in 2010; and four siblings, Theodore R. Nadolny, Stanley Nadolny, Clara (Nadolny) Kati and Alice Halasz. Toby is survived by her daughter, Lin (Randy) Goss of South Bend; two grandsons, Cary (Anne) Goss and their children, Cameron, Thatcher, Piper and Stella, all of Houston, TX, and Tyler (Rebecca Eastep) Goss and their daughter, Payton, all of South Bend; as well as her sister, Adeline (Kenneth) Wharton, and sister-in-law, Rose Nadolny, both of South Bend. The family is grateful for the loving at-home care she received by Judy Sisk. Toby was active in the Rosary Society at Christ the King Church for many years and the Daughters of Isabella. She was a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics for 40 years. She told her friends, a few weeks back, she would be picking them up for lunch. There is no question she is still driving, only on the roads of gold picking up her friends in heaven. Her favorite pastimes were talking about her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with playing Euchre and Yahtzee. She was never without a crossword book puzzle in her lap. Mass of Christian Burial honoring her life will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, August 13, 2016, with calling one hour before at Christ the King Catholic Church, 52473 SR 933, South Bend. Interment will take place privately at St. Joseph Cemetery. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
