Daughter of Jan & Agnes (Flonczak) Smucinski.
Came to the US via Port of Baltimore on 5-3-1891 at the SS Herman, from Port of Hamburg.
Age 67 of 1808 W Florence Ave; died of a heart attack at 3:05 p.m. in her home. She took ill suddenly early Saturday from what appeared to be a chest cold. Coroner T. C. Goraczewski attributed death to a heart attack. Services at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, burial in Cedar Grove Cemetery.
On 9-22-1903 she married by the late Rev. Valentine Czyzewski CSC, pastor of St. Hedwige's Catholic church and uncle of the bridegroom, Frank Czyzewski Sr. in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. Surviving are 6 sons: Francis K., Tribune Staff writer and Polish hour manager for WSBT; Stanley, William and Clement, all of South Bend; Joseph, Maryanna Czyzewski, J. Alvin of Studio City, CA., a former member of the Tribune's news staff and Cass D .Alvin - commercial photographerof Los Angeles, CA; three sisters, Mrs. Sophie Borowski and Mrs. Lottie Urbanski both of South Bend and Sister Mary Adalia, CSC of Baltimore, MD.; 6 grandchildren.
