Genevieve A. Rozewicz, 94, of Birchwood Drive, Mishawaka, Indiana, passed away at her home on Sunday, October 7th, 2018, She was born in South Bend, Indiana on April 17, 1924 to Michael and Frances ( Fzafranski) Chwalek who preceded her in death along with her Son-in-law, Jose Diaz. As Genevieve A. Chwalek, she married Chester L. Rozewicz on October 5th, 1946. He died December 11th, 1988. Genevieve was employed be the Notre Dame North Dining Hall as a Supervisor for 25 years, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Monica Catholic Church in Mishawaka. She is survived by her two daughters, Sandy Diaz of Wilkesboro, North Carolina and Shirley (Gregory) DePauw of Martinsville, Indiana. Four grandchildren, Scott (Dawne) , Samantha (Michael) , Suzanne (David) and Stefan. Four great grandchildren, Alexandra, Grace, Haley and Joshua along with several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Genevieve will be held at Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 North Main Street, Mishawaka, Indiana on Tuesday, October 16th, 2018 at 12:30pm with burial to follow at Riverview Cemetery, South Bend, Indiana. Friends will be received from 10:30am Tuesday until the time of the funeral service. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Nature Conservancy # 1007058972, PO Box 6014, Albert Lea, Minnesota 56007 or to Harbor Light Hospice, 1820 East Day Road, Mishawaka, Indiana 46545.
