MISHAWAKA-George John Zubrickas, 71, passed away unexpectedly on April 12, 2023, due to cardiac issues. Born March 8, 1952, he was the son of the late Stasys and Hedwig (Haming) Zubrickas. On December 28, 1978, George married the love of his life, Judith Ann Langoni. She survives him. Also left to cherish his memory are four siblings: Gunther (Eileen) Zubrickas, Ruth Adent, Regina (John) Payne and Renata (Rene) Hebert; his dear pet bird, Toby; and many loving nieces and nephews; and their children. George was an extremely loving and devoted husband to Judith. He was kind and generous to everyone he met. A very intelligent man, he attended the University of Illinois where he received his bachelor’s degree and later Notre Dame where he received his master’s degree. He worked for Packaging Corporation of America for 40 years, before retiring in 2018. He enjoyed watching and listening to all sports, especially his alma maters-U of I and ND football, and loved attending ND hockey games. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 19 at 11 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at the McGann Hay, Granger chapel, 13260 SR 23, enter off Cherry Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the O’Brien Fund, for the University of ND’s marching band, or to the Center for the Homeless.
