Mary Kwiatkowski, daughter of John Kwiatkowski [aka Flowers], and Jacob Demske, son of Thomas Demske, married at St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana, on October 30, 1889. (St. Hedwig Catholic Church and St. Joseph County, Indiana marriage records) The funeral services for Mary Demske were held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana. Mary was a member of the Women's Apostleship of Prayer at St. Stanislaus and St. Joseph's Society No. 65, Polish Women's Alliance. Besides all of her six children [re: Jacob's memorial}, her survivors included four brothers: Martin, Frank, Stephen, and Anthony Flowers, all of South Bend; and three sisters: Mrs. Josephine Olawski and Mrs. George Niedbalski, both of South Bend, and Sister M. Jolanta, C.S.C., of St. Mary's Convent, Holy Cross, Indiana. (from her obituary published May 15, 1945 in the South Bend Tribune)
