James and Rita Berta will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on June 11, 2015 with their family and friends. They were married June 11, 1955, at St Stanislaus Catholic Church. Rita Berta is the beloved daughter of the late Anthony and Violet Garstecki of South Bend. James Berta is the beloved son of the late Joseph and Mary Berta of South Bend. Jim and Rita have two children, five grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren. They live in South Bend and are members of Saint John's Catholic Church.
