SOUTH BEND Edward A. Kasprzak, 78, of Jamestown Court, South Bend IN, passed away at 3:31pm on Wednesday, April 16, in Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Kasprzak was born on June 16, 1918, in South Bend, and was a lifelong resident. He retired in 1982 as a truck driver with the Bendix Corporation.
On May 3, 1941, in St Stanislaus Church, he married Mary Starko, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Gerald and his wife, Josephine Kasprzak of Goshen IN, and Kenneth and his wife Beverly Kasprzak of Green Bay WI; four grandchildren, Chad Alan Kasprzak, Jill H. Kasprzak, Beth Ann and her husband Jeff Froelich, and Melanie Kasprzak; and by a great grandson, Matthew Joseph Froelich. A son, Michael J. Kasprzak, preceded him in death on July 25, 1993.
Mr. Kasprzak was a member of St Stanislaus Ushers Club and of the Bendix Retirees Club. Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday in St Stanislaus Church. Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8pm today in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a parish vigil will be held at 6pm.
