Belvidere IL - Loretta L. Golubski, 94, passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at Maple Crest Care Center. Loretta was born October 10, 1923 in Cicero, IL to Joseph and Regina (Konecka) Litoborski. On August 31, 1946 she married the love of her life, Francis X. Golubski Jr. Their union was blessed with three sons, one daughter, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Loretta was happiest in her role as wife, mother, and grandma (Busha). Family and friends all reaped the rewards of her cooking and baking. She will always be remembered with a smile on her face and a cookie scoop in her hand. Loretta was also an excellent seamstress and crocheter. Her blankets are still keeping great-grandchildren warm today. If you can get the household pets off them. Travel was also a favorite past time, and when Loretta could no longer physically take to the road or camper, she always had great stories to be told along with many pictures of happy times. Loretta was preceded in death by her husband, Francis, parents, brother, Henry Litoborski, and sister, Helen Broz. She is survived by her sons, David (Linda) Golubski, Dr. Thomas (Mary) Golubski, and Francis III (Susan) Golubski, her daughter, MaryAnn Golubski; grandchildren Amy Golubski, Lori (Anthony) Sippy, Christina Golubski, Dr. Bryan (Danielle) Golubski, Steven Golubski (Alexa Votsis), Ryan Golubski, Francis Golubski IV, and Christopher Starks (Laura Wilson); great-grandchildren, Megan Sippy, Isaac Sippy, Alexander Sippy, Sammy Sippy, and Bryten Starks; and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 11:00am - 12:00pm Saturday, August 11, 2018 in St. Joseph Funeral Home, 824 S. Mayflower Rd., South Bend. A Mass of Christian burial will be Celebrated at 12:30pm in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established at a later date in Loretta's name. Condolences for the family may be made at www.sjfh.net.
