MISHAWAKA - Richard Louis Faker, 70, of Advance, NC, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at his home. He was born June 3, 1946, in Mishawaka, Indiana, to Cornelius and Jessie Moore Faker. He served his country in the Viet Nam War, earning two Bronze Service Stars. He married the love of his life, Charlotte Cwidak, January 27, 1973, who survives along with a sister, Carol Weaver, Granger, Indiana, and his beloved little boy dog, ½ Pint. He leaves behind two nieces and one nephew. Mr. Faker enjoyed boating with his South Carolina friends at Lake Hartwell, gardening, and cheering on The Fighting Irish. A funeral visitation for Mr. Faker will be held from 2-4 pm at Bubb Funeral Chapel in Mishawaka, Saturday, September 17, 2016. Military honors will be conducted at 4:00 pm at the funeral chapel.
