Jacob Poczekaj age 83,resident of this vicinity for the last half century died in his home 1909 South Ironwood at 2 pmSunday afternoon. He was Ill with bronchial pneumonia. A native of Poland he came to south Bend in 1879. Surviving are his widow whomhe married as the former Josephine Miller in this city on September 15, 1899. Surviving are three children Mrs Josephine Radzikowski, Mrs Lottie Geabler, and Max (Waite) Poczekaj all of South Bend; one brother John of Michigan City, IN and a sister whose address is unknown. The body may be viewed in the home. Funeral services willbe held Wednesday min St matthews Roman Catholic Church with Pastor Theodore J Hammes officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
