John Sopczynski emigrated from Poland with his parents and siblings in 1885.
John, son of John, married Franciszka Mary Torzewska, daughter of Thomas, on Oct. 22, 1894 at St. Hedwig Catholic Church. John's and Mary's children include Ksawrnia "Sarah," born Aug. 27, 1895, who married Casimir Dalka in 1913; Helen, born Dec. 1898, who married Clarence E. Bruce in 1918; and Agnes born Apr 4, 1903. John died of typhoid on Feb, 21, 1904. He is buried in the same lot as his brother Leo and his sister Eleanor's son, William V. Wroblewski. John's widow, Marianne Sopczynska, nee Torzewska, married Ignatius Kruszynski at St. Hedwig Catholic Church on Aug. 6, 1904. No further record of the Kruszynskis has been located.
