The 1907 marriage application record of Stanislaus Janowiak, states that he, a carpenter in South Bend, Indiana, was born in South Bend on May 15, 1880, to Simon (sic) & Helen Mnichowski Janowiak. However, the baptism records of St. Hedwig Catholic Church in South Bend, Indiana indicate that Stanislaus Kostka Janowiak, son of Jacob and Helen Michowska (sic) Janowiak, was born on Nov. 21, and baptized on Nov. 25, 1880. His date and place of death are from his Indiana death certificate.
