ELKHART - Rocco Balzano, 59, passed away at his home from complications due to MSA on Tuesday, July 25, 2017. Rocco was born in Elkhart on July 21, 1958, to Giuseppe and Palma (Iemma) Balzano. Rocco loved visiting Jamaica and enjoyed Reggae music, all types of sports (but favored the Chicago sports teams), and was very proud of his Italian heritage. Rocco is survived by his mother, Palma Balzano; sisters, Teresa (Gregory) Kelly, Angela (Michael) Michel, and Rosa Nisley; brothers, Antonio (Tracy)Balzano and John Balzano; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Giuseppe Balzano. Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 30, 2017, 2 p.m.-6 p.m. at Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart. A Mass will be held Monday, July 31, 2017, 11a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St., Elkhart. Burial will be at St. Vincent's Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Rocco Balzano Memorial Fund, c/o his mother, Palma.Published in South Bend Tribune on July 27, 2017
