SOUTH BEND - Patricia A. Pipp, 75, of South Bend, passed away on Friday January 2, 2009, in her home. She was born on February 20, 1933 in South Bend, to the late Samuel L. and Estella "Stella" (Gundek) Lewinski, and was a lifelong area resident. On May 23, 1959, she married Walter J. Pipp, who preceded her in death on October 13, 1994. Pat is survived by her daughter, Victoria L. (Jeffery) Olsen of Goshen, IN; her four sons, Patrick J. (Robbin) Pipp of Geneva, IL, Terry J. (Rene) Marty J. and Sam J. (Melinda) Pipp, all of South Bend; 11 grandchildren, Breannon, Joseph, Andrew, Allison, Michael, Samantha, Kathryn, Rachel and Jacob Pipp and Brett and Matthew Olsen; and by a sister, Mary Lynn (James) Connors of New Carlisle, IN. Mrs. Pipp worked for Kroger for 20 years as a cashier. She was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church, where she was in the Altar and Rosary Society and was also a volunteer there and a member of their Senior Group. She was also a member of the St. Hedwig Golden Cluster, St. Stanislaus Harvest House and St. Casimir Senior Club. Pat was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy. Visitation will be 3 to 8 PM Monday January 5, 2009, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 4 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Tuesday January 6, 2009 in St. John the Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend.
