SOUTH BEND - John A. Kosik, 89, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Memorial Hospital. John was born February 27, 1928 in South Bend, to the late Alex and Clara (Kochanowski) Kosik. John was also preceded in death by sisters, Genevieve Beitler and Dorothy Kosik (Sister M. Martin, FDC). Survivors of John include his sister, Helen O'Loughlin of Sacramento, CA and several nieces and nephews. John worked for Goodwill Industries for a number of years, and also BriteWay Sales. He enjoyed listening to the police scanner, playing bingo, and he took pride in working in the yard. John was known as a very thoughtful and generous person to everyone he met. He was cared for by his sister, Genevieve for most of his life. A private graveside service for John will be held at a later date. ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S.
