INDEX
[N887]
Birth: Jun. 2, 1869
Wielkopolskie, Poland
Death: Sep., 1947
South Bend, St. Joseph County, IN
Born 2 Jun 1869 in Mokronos, Koźmin Wielkopolski, Krotoszyn County, Poland. According to the 1900 US Federal Census his immigration year was 1894 (see 1900 US Federal Census for Portage Township, South Bend, St Joseph County, Indiana, USA). His first wife was Susanna Kujawska 1870 - 1900 and second wife Katarina (Catherine) as per the 9 Jun 1900 US Fed. Census had been married 1/2 year at this time. Married his third wife Mary Herman 8/23/1919 at St Casimir, South Bend,IN . Se was born Nov, 1875 - Died 2/16/1058 in South Bend.
This means the mother of the first children was Susanna Kujawska.
They are
Josephine Aug 1885 -
Mary Anna Hanyzewski May 1893-
Wiktorya 'Victoria' Hanyzewski Sep 1885
all born in Poland like their Father finally Stanislaw/Stanislaus April 1899 born in South Bend, St Joseph, Indiana, USA
The 1910 Census lists them both as their second marriage
Perhaps this was his third because the 1900 Census as of June showed him married to his second wife 6 months and the Indiana Marriage collection has him marrying a Catherine Drzewiecka on 25 May 1901. It was thought that th 2nd wife Katarina had Americanized her name to Catherine but now it seems that it is an entirely different woman. Especially since the 1900 Census shows New York as his wife's birthplace and the 1910 has Poland as her birthplace. Because these other children were not on the 1900 Census they are thought to be that of Catherine's first Marriage, his third. Also 1910 Census shows her as 9 years married and having 7 children but only 4 of them living, and her immigration date as 1892
