[N3934] John J. Egierski, Jr., 80, of Healthwin Specialized Care Facility, passed away at the nursing home, Sunday, August 21, 2005. John was born on July 28, 1925, in South Bend, Indiana to John J. Sr., and Helen (Urbanski) Egierski. He retired from Troeger & Company Inc. Sheet Metal Works, after 50 years of service. Surviving are his sisters, Irene Witkowski of Mishawaka, Indiana, Catherine Borkowski of Pinellas, Florida, Adeline Ott of Ivanho, Minnesota, Delores Lootens of Lakeland, Florida; and his brother, Jerome, ?Jerry? Egierski and his wife Gloria of South Bend. Brothers, George Eager, and Walt Egierski both preceded him in death. Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Tuesday, August 23, 2005, at the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend, Indiana, where a Parish Rosary will be at 4:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Wednesday, August 24, 2005, at St. Hedwig Catholic Church with burial to follow in Highland Cemetery. John was a member of St. Hedwig Catholic Church and the Sheet Metal Union. He enjoyed bowling and was on several leagues in his younger years. Memorial contributions may be made to, St. Hedwig Catholic Church, 331 S. Scott Street, South Bend, Indiana 46601 or Masses for the repose of the soul of John J. Egierski, Jr. John's family would like to thank everyone who was evolved in his care at Healthwin Specialized Care.
