John F. Rudnicki, 55, of Columbia Street, passed away at 11:45 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 14, in Saint Joseph Community Hospital, Mishawaka, Ind. Mr. Rudnicki was employed by Wal-Mart as a furniture manager. He was a United States Marine, serving in Vietnam. John was born on Oct. 6, 1946, in South Bend, Ind., to Orville and Elsie Rudnicki. On June 21, 1994, in South Bend, he married Mary Coop, who survives. He is also survived by his father, Orville J. Rudnicki of South Bend; a daughter, Susan Rudnicki of South Bend; four sons, Bryan Rudnicki, Robert Rudnicki, John Coop and Dewayne Coop, all of South Bend; three grandchildren, Desire' Coop and Rhyana Romine, and a grandson; a sister, Marysue Mikulyuk of Mishawaka; and by a brother, James Rudnicki of South Bend. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at noon Monday, Feb. 18, in Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m. today in the Zahoran Funeral Home, 1826 S. Kemble Avenue.
