MISHAWAKA - Charles Clayton Amos, 92, of Mishawaka, passed away on Monday, August 26, 2013 in Morning View Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Charles was born on March 30, 1921, in Frankfort, IN, to the late Carl and Pauline (Isgrig) Amos. In 1940 Charles was married to Glenna Jean (Caskey) who preceded him in death on March 1, 2005. He is survived by their 3 children: Thomas (Rosalie) Amos of Glenview, IL, Michael (Cynthia) Amos Sr. of Mishawaka, IN, & Jane Amos of South Bend, IN; 7 grandchildren: Michael (Lisa) Amos Jr. of Elkhart, IN, Scott (Sarah) Amos of Elkhart, IN, Tracy (Mark) Benner of Mishawaka, IN, Tamara (Jack) Christianson of Mishawaka, IN, Brian (Natalie) Amos of Osceola, IN, Elizabeth Amos of Sandy Ridge, PA, & Timothy Amos of Chicago, IL, 12 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mary Kathryn Amos of Mishawaka, IN; and 1 sister-in-law, Patricia Mechling of South Bend, IN. Charles was a Master Mason of Lodge 130 and a member of Albright United Methodist Church. The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation for Harbor Light Hospice and Morning View Nursing Home. Visitation for Charles will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2013 in Bubb Funeral Chapel, 3910 N. Main St., Mishawaka, IN, from 10:30 until 11:30 am, with a funeral service to begin at 11:30 am, along with a Masonic service. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka, IN. Memorial contributions may be made to Harbor Light Hospice, 1608 E. Day Rd., Mishawaka, IN 46545, or the charity of the donor's choice .
