Virginia V. Brambert, 84, residing in Granger, passed away at 11:59 am Wednesday, February 29, 2012 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. She was born in South Bend on January 27, 1928 to the late Leo and Martha (Niespodizany) Ryback. On September 30, 1950 in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Bend, she married Robert Brambert, who survives. In addition to Robert, her husband of sixty one years, Virginia is survived by one daughter, Charlene Pirages of South Bend; two sons, Robert (Tammy) Brambert, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ and David (Annette) Brambert of Bloomingdale, IL; six grandchildren; two great granddaughters; one sister, Dolores (Joseph) Kolo of Granger; and two brothers, James Ryback and Ronald (Barbara) Ryback, both of South Bend. Virginia lived most of her life in South Bend, except for a thirty year period that she and Robert lived in Rockford, IL. During that time, she was a secretary to the pastor at Holy Family Church. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church at the time of her passing. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Monday, March 5, 2012 in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 52553 Fir Road, Granger. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 - 10:00 am in the church prior to mass. Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel & Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements. Memorial contributions in memory of Virginia may be given to the charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be offered to the Brambert family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
