South Bend - Andrew F. Kazmierzak, 86, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the Grand Emerald Place. Andrew was born December 2, 1931 in South Bend, to the late Andrew and Theresa (Kowalski) Kazmierzak. Andrew is also preceded in death by brothers, Ben & Raymond Kazmierzak; and sister, Claire Schubert. On October 12, 1957 in South Bend Andrew married his loving wife Wanda (Swizek) Kazmierzak, she survives along with their sons, Carl Kazmierzak of South Bend, Daniel Kazmierzak of Melbourne, FL, and James (Dawn) Kazmierzak of Fort Wayne; and grand-daughter Ellie; sisters, Gertrude (Robert) Kerger and Marie Kazmierzak both of South Bend. Andrew honorably served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the drafting department at Allied Signal and Wheel Horse. Andrew was a member of Knights of Columbus 553, and was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Andrew enjoyed bowling, golfing, painting art and was mechanically inclined. Most of all, Andrew was a loving family man. Visitation for Andrew will be held 4:00pm to 8:00pm on Monday, September 10, 2018 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. with a Rosary to be prayed at 4:00pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 in Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to the Mass in the church.
