Age 59, died Sunday morning, June 27, 2010 at Marquette General Hospital after a short illness. He was born on August 5, 1950 in Monroe, MI, a son of the late Julius Gabriel and Mary Ann (Bodnar) Karacson. Jim's greatest joys in life were experienced when he was fishing, hunting, camping or golfing. He is survived by his wife, Jane, of Marquette; two children, Kris (Eric) Ferro of Scott AFB, IL and James J. (Emily) Karacson II of Marquette; two granddaughters, Alyssa Ferro and Nicky Karacson; also three nephews and one niece, Rev. Robert (Debbie) Karacson, Rockwood, MI, Mark Karacson of New Britain, CT, Phillip (Melissa) Karacson of Monroe, MI, and Jennifer (Joe) Knierim of Newport MI. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by two brothers, Julius and Bob Karacson. At Jim's request, there will be no visitation or funeral.
