MADISON, WI - Gloria Ann Boda, age 90, passed peacefully away on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017, at Agrace Hospice Care, surrounded by her family. She was born on Nov. 15, 1926, in Elkhart, IN. graduating from Mishawaka High School in 1944. Upon graduation she was employed by Wheelbrator Company and U.S. Rubber Co. (now Uniroyal). She met her husband, Robert Roda, who began working at U.S. Rubber also, after receiving his business degree from Indian University in 1959. They were married on June 9, 1961, in Stoughton. They resided in Madison for the Next 50 years, with a short job location in Iowa. Upon returning from Iowa, Gloria was employed by American Family Insurance in Madison until her retirement in 1988. She is survived by her husband; four children, Gregg (Julie) Kaiser, Chris (Bev) Boda, Debby (Rick) Mobley and Becky (Mike) Hanbneman; 12 grandhildren, Amanda, Travis, Angela, Lisa, Jacob, Chris, Jeff, James, Phil, Gregg, Eric and Johanna; 22 great-grandchildren; and sister, Gwendolyn Brown of Fort Meyers Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Winston Sack; sister, Cynthia Sack; and grandson Lee Grandt. A funeral service will be held at Gundrson East Funeral and Cremation Care, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison , at 11 a.m. on Wednesday Nov. 8, 2017. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. She endured pain for many years from severe episode of shingles and scoliosis, but maintained her dignity and grace. Although small in stature, she was a giant pillar of strength for her husband and loved ones. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and loved her throughout her 90 years. The family would like to thank her doctors and nurses at St. Mary's Hosital and to the staff at Agrace HospicCare for their caring service.
