SOUTH BEND - Shirley Ann Maciulski, 80, passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017. Shirley, also known as Terry by most, was born June 30, 1937 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Emerson and Cleda (Baugh) Rittenhouse. On February 22, 1977, Terry married Ronald Maciulski who preceded her in death in 1995. She was also preceded in death by two precious nephews, Michael & Kent Biggs. Survivors of Terry include her loving daughter, Vicki Palmer-Behling of South Bend; grandchildren, David M. Palmer and Sarah (Palmer) & husband Brandon Piechowicz; sisters, Emma Louise Smith and Barbara (Alvin) Rickner; and many wonderful nieces and nephews. Terry was a very active member of the Hillsboro Baptist Church in Ohio. She enjoyed bible study, women's church groups and volunteering throughout the community. Terry was a very generous woman who would help anyone in need. She loved and cared for animals and all living things. She especially loved her friends and family and dearly loved her daughter and grandchildren. Per Terry's wishes, a private service will be held. Entombment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.
