MISHAWAKA - Tomas R. Ostrowski, 66, passed away at home on Friday, July 11, 2014. Tomas was born on Dec. 24, 1947, in Mishawaka, to Francis J. and Leah M. (Jansen) Ostrowski. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by a sister, Mary Ostrowski. On November 22, 1969, in St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka, he married the former Ellen Fox. Surviving are his loving wife, Ellen; sisters, Barbara J. Richardson and Frances Toth, both of Mishawaka; a brother, John (Joyce) Ostrowski of Cassopolis, MI; and many nieces and nephews. Tomas worked for Allied Signal in South Bend for 20 years in Production Control and then was a Custodian for Mishawaka City Schools in Mishawaka for 12 years. He was a former member of Michiana Mustang Club, a past member of Kosciusko Club and was a member of St. Bavo Catholic Church, Mishawaka. Visitation will be today, July 13, from 2 to 6 p.m., with wake prayers at 5:30 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 14, at 11 a.m. in St. Bavo Catholic Church, with Rev. Barry England officiating. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Osceola.
