SOUTH BEND - Robert A. Latowski, 63, of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota, formerly of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2017, from complications following surgery. Robert was born on May 30, 1953, in South Bend, to Stephen and Stella (Mosher) Latowski. He was preceded in death by his mother, Stella, in December 2016. He is survived by four sons, Stephen Latowski and Matthew Latowski, both of Newburgh, Indiana, Daniel Latowski and David Latowski, both of South Bend, Indiana; his father, Stephen F. Latowski of South Bend, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Michael, Alexandra, Vanessa, Naomi, Maxmilian, Van and Everett; four sisters, Maggi Garrett and Patti Strebinger, both of South Bend, Indiana, Diana Evans of Shelbyville, Kentucky, and Carol Latowski of Sharon, Wisconsin; and two brothers, John Latowski of Mishawaka, Indiana, and Don Latowski of South Bend, Indiana. Robert graduated in 1971 from Saint Joseph High School, and received a degree from Ivy Tech College. Robert worked for Simon Brothers and Clark Food Service. He was most recently employed by Marathon Properties in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Robert was an avid outdoorsman: he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and canoeing. Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, Indiana. A Catholic Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
