Rose Minter (nee Pelfi), 78, of 701 Tyler Street, Walkerton, Indiana, formerly of East Chicago, passed away at 8:50 am Sunday, December 11, 1994, at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, after an illness. She is survived by her husband Charles E. Minter; two daughters, Sally Myers Petro of New Buffalo, Michigan and Mrs.Susan Schmeltz of New Carlisle, Indiana; step-daughter, Mrs. Beverly Fraine of Koontz Lake, Indiana; three sons, Robert Frank Meyers of Arlington, Texas, Charles W. (Chuck) Minter of Walkerton, David J. Minter of Indianapolis, Ind.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Pelfi of Munster, Indiana, and Alfred Pelfi of Michigan City, Indiana; two brothers preceded her in death, Frank and James Pelfi.
Funeral services will be at 12 Noon EST Wednesdsay, December 14th, at the Nusbaum-Elkin Funeral Home in Walkerton, Indiana.Burial will be at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Walker-ton. Friends may call at the funeral home 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm EST on Tuesday. They can callfrom 10am until time of service onWednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Minter was a member of the Walkerton Rebecca Lodge; The Walkerton Business and Professional Womens Club; she was a 50 year member of the Walkerton American Legion Post 189 Ladies Auxiliary; she was active in Walkerton Real Services and she was also a past activemember of the Walkerton
Boy Scouts. The Rebecca Lodge will have a memorial service at 7 pm today at the funeral home. Family has requested memorials be given to the Rose Minter Memorial Fund in care of the Teachers Credit Union in Walkerton.
