Obituary

South Bend - Ronald K Stealy, 81, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 surrounded by his daughters that loved him so dearly. Ron was born to the late Earl and Mildred (Frick) Stealy. On February 4, 1961 Ron married the love of his life, JoAnn (Coppens) Stealy, she preceded him in death on September 14, 2019. He is also preceded in death by his brother, Roger Stealy; brother-in-law, Frank Creighton; and sister-in-law, Susie Stealy. Left to cherish the memory of Ron are his children, Denise (Greg) Feitz, Dana (John) Marley, DeeAnn (Jeff) Lovisa; grandchildren, Abbie (Kevin) Maes, Austin (Lisa) Feitz, Kasey Marley, Allison Marley, Vincent Lovisa, Nicolette (Brandon) Gallinger; great-grandchildren, Ava Baker, Harper Maes, Roman Maes, Sophia Gallinger; sister, Marilyn Creighton; niece, Rhonda; nephews, Roger and Rodney.
Since 1977 Ron was the owner of Bud’s (Wrecker) Service/Town and Country Towing. He loved his farm and enjoyed talking to his cows. Ron was an avid Notre Dame fan, especially football. In his younger years he drag raced for Shaker Racing and was a mechanic with Hammes-Brannan. Later in life he enjoyed building race cars again. Every year he enjoyed reconnecting with friends at his Good Old Boys picnic’s. Visitation for Ron will be 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, March 7, 2021in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 8, 2021 in the Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow to St. Joseph Valley Memorial Garden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, or Heartland Hospice.
