SOUTH BEND - John E. Varga, 56, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2018. John was born on May 7, 1961 in South Bend, to Emery P. and Barbara J. (Pletcher) Varga. He is survived by one daughter, Nichole (Adam Carroll) Varga of South Bend, Indiana; one son, Tyris (Francesca) Varga of Osceola, Indiana; and three grandchildren, Arianna and Athena Alvarez, and Avabelle Varga. Other survivors include three sisters, Victoria (Paul) Ransberger of Indianapolis, Indiana, Susan (Mark) Pool of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Sandra (Brian) Souza of Granger, Indiana. John loved to fish and be in the outdoors. He enjoyed painting and cooking, especially creating his own recipes. John cherished time with his grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, as well as the family dog, Molly. Visitation for John will be on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10:30 am until 11:30 am in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Dr., South Bend, Indiana. A Funera Service will be held at 11:30 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph County Humane Society.
