Niles - Arlene Geraldine Dickey, 81, of Niles, MI passed away on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. Arrangements have been entrusted to Swem Chapel, 301 W. Front St., Buchanan, MI. Arlene was born in Lakeside, MI on August 13, 1939 to the late William and Myrtle (Bogda) Sestak. She grew up in Union Pier, MI; graduated from New Buffalo High School in 1957; and married John Albert Dickey on June 13, 1959 in Galien, MI. Arlene was a member of the Olive Branch United Methodist Church in Galien and was very active with the Ladies Aide at church. She was everybody's grandma and enjoyed attending her family's sports, plays and concert events. Arlene loved cooking, baking, gardening and was an avid Detroit Lions fan. Arlene is survived by her son - Brian (Robyn) Dickey of Coldwater, MI; grandchildren - Sarah (Mikey) Kambli, Jonathan (Stasha) Dickey, Joshua (Alejandra) Dickey and Paul Dickey; and eight great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents-William and Myrtle Sestak; her husband-John Dickey; her daughter-Brenda Dickey; two brothers-Kenneth and William Sestak; and two sisters-Shirley Lewis and Audrey Moffit. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, July 21, 2021, 11:00am, at Swem Chapel in Buchanan, MI. Burial will follow at Galien Cemetery, Galien, MI. Visitation is on Tuesday, July 20, from 5:00-8:00pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
