MISHAWAKA - Joseph J. Lehner, 96, of Mishawaka, died Sunday, July 15, 2018 at North Woods Village. The Granger native was born October 18, 1921 to (the late) Paul & Katherine (Lendway) Lehner. Joe served his country proudly in the Army during WWII and on November 23, 1950, he married Genevieve (Mincinski) Lehner, who preceded him in death on July 1, 2016 after 65 years of marriage. Joe retired from Domore Office Furniture after previously working at Studebaker for many years. He was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, VFW Post #360, and enjoyed spending his time tending to his yard and gardens. In addition to his parents and his wife, Joe was also preceded in death by his son, Joseph M. Lehner in 2011. He is survived by his daughter, Mary (Kim) Lehner Gamble of Mishawaka; son, Larry Lehner of Long Beach, CA; brother, Robert (Barbara) Lehner of Osceola; sister, Betty Adkins of Caseville, MI, and several nieces & nephews. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 Friday, July 20, 2018 in Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4508 Vistula Road. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 Friday in the church. Interment in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park with Military Honors. Arrangements through Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Hwy.
