GRANGER - Harold Foos, 68, passed away Sunday morning at his residence. He was born to George & Evelyn (Rhoads) Foos in South Bend, IN. Harold served in the Vietnam Era in the U.S. Army. After being honorably discharged, he came back to the United States and married Laverne Hansen on July 6, 1974; she would precede him in death. He was a manager at Schafer Gear Works for many years. Harold was a member of the VFW, he joined the 65-66 Full Size Chevy Car Club where he was a past president for sixteen years and was the current treasurer. Harold was an avid car buff, he was always tinkering with cars. One of his favorite things in life was his Saint Bernard dogs, he always had two at one time. Family was very important to him; he kept in touch with all of his relatives. Harold is survived by his brothers, Jack L. (Gloria) Foos, James N. (Carole) Foos; sister-in-law, Kathleen Bogucki; and many nieces and nephew; along with very special girlfriend, Linda Johnson. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. A gathering of friends and family will be Friday, April 8, 2016, from 4:00 pm-7:00 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 10776 McKinley Highway, Osceola IN 46561, with a funeral service with full Military Honors Saturday, April 9, 2016, 10:00 am at the funeral home, with Reverend Greg Stump officiating; burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
