MISHAWAKA - Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Irene Molnar passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2011, at 3:40 p.m. surrounded by her family and in the exceptional care of Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Irene had been battling emphysema for several years and is now at peace in the arms of our Lord. Please keep her in your prayers. Services are pending and will be announced later this week.

MISHAWAKA - Irene A. Molnar, 87, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away at 3:40 p.m. Sunday, March 13, 2011, in Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center. Irene was born on November 23, 1923, in South Bend, to John and Rose (Madarasz) Suth. She retired from Memorial Hospital, where she was employed for 25 years as a dietary aide. On September 6, 1943, in the former St. Stephen's Church, as Irene A. Suth, she married Geza Molnar, who preceded her in death on March 9, 1993. Also preceding her in death were her parents, John and Rose Suth; five sisters, Rose, Betty, Mary, Anne and Marge; and her brother, John. Survivors include three daughters, Deborah (Ben) Gabbard, Patricia (Pat) Conley and Barbara (Don) Villarosa, all of South Bend, IN; two sons, Ron (Cheryl) Molnar and Bob (Linda) Molnar, both of South Bend, IN; 13 grandchildren, Scott, Jeff and Christi Molnar, Kari Freund, Bobby, Matthew and David Molnar, Jesi Enfield and Amy Lower, Sean and Neil Conley, Andy Molnar and Krysta Villarosa; 17 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Hayley, Kaitlyn, Isabella, Mia, Payton, Ryan, Lyndee, Brieann, Adam, Caitlin, Kelsey, John Jr., Mason, Kaitlyn, Tyler and Andrew; and one sister, Barbara "Bobbie" Wesolowski of Mishawaka, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2011, in St. Anthony de Padua Church. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Thursday in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call from 9:00 until 9:45 a.m. on Friday in the church.
