NORTH LIBERTY - Rita G. Jankowski, 84, passed away at 4:35 p.m. on Saturday, September 4, 2010, in her residence with her family by her side. Rita was born on September 21, 1925, in Chicago, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Frances Cybulski; her brothers, Casimir and Thad Cybulski; and by her sisters, Joan Cymbala, Kinga Brenda and Laverne Stevens. She is survived by her six children, Dianne Jankowski of North Liberty, Anne (Rick) Seniff of North Liberty, Melanie (Ken) Jones of Stevensville, MI, Michael Jankowski of South Bend, Christopher Jankowski of South Bend and Paul Jankowski of South Bend; 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and by her sister-in-law, Rita Majewski of Edwardsburg, MI. Rita will always be remembered as an energetic, humorous and hard-working woman filled with love. She had a love for her home and her animals, love for the earth and all it provides, unwavering love for God, and unconditional love for her family. We will miss her. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church, where she was a member in the choir. She was a Platinum member of ZB Polish Falcons. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. today, September 8, 2010, in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Road, where a Rosary will be prayed at 5:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2010, in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 111 Sunnybrook Court, South Bend, IN 46637; or to St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr, 415 Brookfield Street, South Bend, IN 46628. Mayflower Rd, South Bend, where a Rosary was prayed at 5 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. today in St. Stanislaus Bishop and Martyr Catholic Church.
