From the SOUTH BEND TRIBUNE, Thursday, March 25, 1937, page 30:

Mrs. Joan Niespodziany, aged 54, of rural route No. 3, North Liberty, this county, died at 5:55 o'clock Wednesday evening in St. Joseph hospital, Mishawaka, after nine months' illness. She was born in South Bend Oct. 7, 1882. Surviving is the husband, Michael Niespodziany; 11 children, Mrs. Wanda Piecuch, of South Bend; Mrs. Stella Kilburn, of Lansing, Mich.; Mrs. Hilda Thompson, of Elkhart, Ind.; Miss Helen Niespodziany, of New Haven, Conn.; Miss Regina Niespodziany, of Cleveland, O., the Misses Florence, Barbara, Valeria and Martha; John and Frank Niespodziany, all of South Bend; three brothers. Leo, Walter and John Kolacz, all of South Bend, and five grandchildren.
