LAWTON - Monica Amanda DeBuysser, 95 of Lawton, MI formerly of Donnell Lake Vandalia, MI, passed away Thursday April 28, 2011, in Bronson Nursing and Rehab Center, Lawton, MI. She was born in South Bend, Ind., to Stephen and Helena Janicki. Monica was a lifetime resident in the Michiana area. As Monica Janicki On October 12, 1940 she married Julius DeBuysser in Sacred Heart Church in South Bend, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 21, 1980. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Stanley, Bert, and Dan Janicki, all of South Bend. Mrs. DeBuysser is survived by two children Marilynn Meek (Richard) of Cedar Lake near Marcellus, Michigan and Robert DeBuysser (Gloria) of South Bend. Five grandchildren Ann Korn and her special friend (Mark Peebles) of Fennville, MI, Derrick Korn of Paris, France, Eric DeBuysser (Lisa) of Greenville, SC., Mark McLochlin (Connie) of Granger IN., and Sherri McDonald of Germantown, TN. Visitation will be from 2 to 6 pm on Saturday April 30, 2011, in the Kaniewski Funeral Home, 3545 N. Bendix Drive, South Bend. Funeral services for Monica will be held at 2 pm Monday May 2, 2011, in the funeral home, with Pastor Steven Latzke officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, South Bend. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to SHALOM (Self Help Alternative Living Opportunities of Michigan) P.O.
