Peter P. Kostielney was born on April 7th. 1904, In Noble County, Ege, Indiana to proud parent's Andrew and Mary (Hollis) Kostielney. Both parent's are Prussian immigrants that came to Indiana to build a family and indulge in the American prosperity. The Kostielney family was enormous to say the least! Sixteen children and Peter was number sixteen! His siblings are as follows in chronilogical order: Agnes Kostielney Laskaski 1874-1908, Joseph Kostielney 1875-1958, John Kostilney 1878-1943, Frank Kostielney 1879-1902, Mary Kostielney Kostielney 1880-1903, Anthony Kostielney 1881-1906, Steven Kostielney 1884-1942, Jacob Kostielney 1885-1953, Andrew Kostielney 1887-1932, Martin Kostielney 1889-1955, Rose Kostielney Sikorski 1891-1967, Helen Kostielney 1893-1910, Genevieve Kostielney 1896-1918, Bernard Kostielney 1898-1969, Margaret Kostielney Oakes 1900-1960, and Peter Kostielney 1904-1987. Peter was united in holy matrimony to Bernice Sobeski on June 8th, 1987, in Bronson, Michigan. Their marriage was blessed with two daughter's, Rosemary Kostielney Chrgonbowski of South Bend and Carol Walton (adopted) of Plymouth. Peter worked for Bendix for thirty-seven and a half years. The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary, hosted by their daughter's, at an anniversary open house in Mishawaka. In addition, the couple was also blessed with four beautiful grandchildren. Mr. Kostielney passed away on May 29, 1987 in South Bend, Indiana, St. Joseph's County. The funeral arrangements were handled by the Hickey Funeral Home. Pray for the soul of Peter to know God's love and compassion. We will forever remember him.
