SOUTH BEND - Michael "Jinx" Jankowski, 67, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015 in Lakeland Hospital. Mike was born February 8, 1948 in South Bend to the late Ervin and Rita (Cybulski) Jankowski. Mike is also preceded in death by a brother, Paul Jankowski. Survivors of Mike include his daughter, Michael (Maciej) Jaskiewicz of Niles, MI; sisters, Dianne Jankowski, Anne (Rick) Seniff and Melanie (Ken) Jones; brother, Christopher Jankowski; three grandsons, Kevin, Kuba and Misiu; several nieces and nephews. Mike was a graduate of St. Joseph High School. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and Military Police during the Vietnam War. Mike was a member of Z.B. Polish Falcons of America. He looked forward to breakfast with friends and playing pool. Jinx also loved golfing and playing in the annual "Turkey Bowl" with his lifelong buddies. Most of all, he enjoyed breakfast and tennis with his daughter, and spending time with his grandsons. Visitation for Mike will be 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, June 18, 2015 in ST. JOSEPH FUNERAL HOME, 824 S. Mayflower Rd. where a Rosary will be prayed at 4:30 pm, with military honors at 5:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 19, 2015 at 10:00 am in St. Stanislaus Bishop & Martyr Catholic Church.
